Scope of activities

  • expert opinions, research and legal opinions in scope of geotechniques and soil mechanics
  • engineering and geology reports, construction designs, landslide stabilization projects; prevention of natural hazards (authorization issued by Ministry of Environment, entry in the experts register of Ministry of Regional Development)
  • geotechnical monitoring, inclinometer measurements
  • laboratory tests of physical features and strength of soil
  • geophysical tests (seismic, GPR) for geotechnics and engineering geology
  • stability analysis and numerical modeling

Apparatus and equipment

  • Biaxial inclinometric sonde (great Britain), measurement accuracy +/-0.2 mm, Device for automatic monitoring of mechatronical registration of displacements, porous pressure and ground water levels- 3 monitoring stations + 1 meteorological station installed in Beskid Niski, in the area of Gorlice (financed in the framework of EU Projects) Device for inclinometric monitoring installed in Beskid Niski, in Beskid Średni and in Pogórze Karpackie- more than 300 m, 24 measurement points (indent displacements, automatic temperature and pressure sensors, pneumatic sensors of porous pressure, temperature and water level). Installation financed by European Investment Bank

  • High class triaxial apparatus for complex tests of soil strength parameters (Great Britain), enabling tests of samples 38-55 mm in diameter with porous pressure measurement (parameter B), consolidation of samples, regulated velocity of cutting, measurement of stress paths and enabling measurement of seismic waves velocity (financed in the framework of EU founds)

  • Triaxial apparatus AT-2A, 5KN with digital recording of results enabling cutting with regulated velocity and consolidation of samples 38-50 mm in diameter

  • Oedometers (3 pieces) with digital recording of deformation along with unit for coherent soil water permeability tests

  • CBR Apparatus (as an option, apparatus for uniaxial compression) 50 KN with digital recording of results

  • Device defining basic physical features of soils

  • Proctor Apparatus
MASW seismic apparatus for shallow prospecting and geotechnical tests, including high quality, 24 channels seismograph, 24 geophones for surface surveys and set for measurement of velocity of vertical and horizontal seismic waves in a borehole along with software for results interpretation. GPS (USA) (2 stations enabling measurements with an accuracy of 1 cm horizontally and vertically) Software for stability analysis and stresses modeling, flows, thermal impact and chemical impurities influence as well as analysis of stability with classical methods (LEM) with utilization of defined, circular slip surfaces
