scope:
- food processing waste recycling (post-refining grounds and sewage containing fat and proteins)
- recycling of sewage from fermentation and yeast industry (recycling of phosphate, nitrogen and potassium salts)
- agricultural waste recycling (manure and manure eluate and plant waste) - executed with use of natural mineral resources
- research in scope of environmental engineering concerning heavy metal pollution in soils, municipal and industrial waste
Most important achievements
Rotary disc reactor for selective move of aerial ingredients between liquid streams of reagents
Technology of manure eluate recycling
Reduction of heavy metals in sedimentary sludge
Reduction of heavy metals in dried sediment
Laboratory for Chemical Research
scope:
- ground and surface water monitoring at engineer buildings area, mainly at lignite open cast mines
- chemistry control check of water in wells, measurement of
content containing selected heavy metals and trace elements according
to drinking water requirements
- specification of chemical pollution level (heavy metal content) of soils and plants in light of environmental protection
- research on dynamics of pollution leaching from grounds and aerial ashes and specification of their impact on hydro-environment
- research on varying sorption materials, also based on lignite,
in order to improve the quality of drinking water, purify and improve
soils, in sewage treatment plants, etc.
